David Bilger, trumpet

David Bilger is Principal Trumpet of The Philadelphia Orchestra, a post he has held since 1995, having previously had the same title with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has appeared numerous times as soloist with The Philadelphia Orchestra, performing concerti in Philadelphia, Carnegie Hall, and in tour in the US and South America, and has also made solo appearances with many other American orchestras. Mr. Bilger serves on the faculty of The Curtis Institute and Temple University, and is a regular teacher and coach at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan.
