Ondine receives five ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) nominations (15.11.2024)


Jury members presenting 20 different classical medias from 16 different countries have nominated five Ondine albums for the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards). The nominated albums are:

 

Contemporary music

Lindberg: Viola Concerto, Absence, Serenades - Lawrence Power, viola; Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Nicholas Collon

 

Tarkiainen: Midnight Sun Variations - Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Nicholas Collon

 

Choral music

Penderecki: Sacred Choral Works - Latvian Radio Choir, Sigvards Klava

 

Chamber music

Brahms: Piano Quartets Nos. 2 & 3 - Christian Tetzlaff, violin; Barbara Buntrock, viola; Tanja Tetzlaff, cello; Lars Vogt, piano

 

Assorted programs

Lutoslawski: Concerto for Orchestra, Partita for Violin and Orchestra, Novelette - Christian Tetzlaff, violin; Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Nicholas Collon

 

The ICMA gala will take place on 19 March, 2025 at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf.
