Silvestre Revualtas (1899-1940)

Silvestre Revueltas was a violinist, conductor, and composer during the Mexican Revolution (1910–20) and Spanish Civil War (1936–39). He studied in Mexico (Durango and Mexico City) and the United States (Chicago, IL and Austin, TX). He was a theater-orchestra violinist in San Antonio, TX, and conducted an orchestra in Mobile, AL.
